Engaged….heated visceral conflict
Our breath comes in short quick sighs
Lungs fight to possess vitality
Hearts pulse with life’s urgency and frantic purpose
What purposeful terror is this that clutches us?
Pursued by the wrath of a mad spirit
In the aftermath, perspiration……. our pulse still races
A lingering scent of deadly beauty caresses our thoughts
Soft viscous silhouettes etched permanently in shared memory
Mouths dry and lacking words to describe our tormenter
And then……thoughtless cardiac bliss
